Mark Latham is a senior real estate advisor with 30 years of experience delivering strategic advisory, leasing, and investment solutions across Africa, and Asia. As Managing Director and Principal at Avison Young South Africa, he leads the firm’s practice, advising multinational corporations, major developers, and institutional investors on complex, high-value real estate decisions in the region’s most dynamic markets.

Mark has built and led market-leading real estate practices at Avison Young, CBRE, and Colliers International — operating across South and Sub-Saharan Africa, China and Korea. His career is defined by an exceptional ability to navigate large-scale, complex transactions in emerging and frontier markets, consistently delivering outcomes where conventional approaches fall short.

His clients include; Corient, Fresenius, Grindrod, Microsoft, Nestlé, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Deloitte, GE, Nike, McDonald’s, Standard Chartered Bank, and Citibank. Notable strategic advisory mandates include the commercialisation strategy for Eskom’s 7,500-property portfolio, highest and best use advisory for a 6,000-hectare mixed-use development in KwaZulu-Natal, and the leasing of 30 super-tall office buildings representing over three million square metres of prime office space across China.
